Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Bassem Roman graduated from Ain Shams University in Cairo, where he began his career as a General practitioner. He also has a Master’s degree in Dermatology from Ain Shams University. He then moved to Canada and obtained his Family Medicine training at University of Manitoba. He also has a diploma in Practical Dermatology and certificate in Dermoscopy from Cardiff University in Wales, UK. He received additional training in Primary Care Dermatology from Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr. Roman is also a member of the Primary Care Dermatology
Society of Canada (PCDSC). His special interest is in skin diseases.
Dr. Phnendren Naidu was born in South Africa and graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree in 2005 from the Nelson R. Mandela school of Medicine. After completing his practical training, he spent one year in a rural hospital in South Africa. This was followed by a year in Orthopaedics and Trauma Medicine in Durban. He then moved to Ireland and worked in emergency medicine in Kilkenny.
He and his wife moved to Canada in 2010 and first worked in the small community of Edson, Alberta. In 2013 he moved to Calgary and has been with Glenwood Medical Centre since. Dr. Naidu sees a wide variety of patients. He also performs minor surgical procedures. He enjoys river rafting in the summer and skiing in the winter.
Dr. Wong grew up in Calgary and completed a BSc in Biochemistry (with distinction) at the University of Calgary, and her medical degree and family medicine residency at the University of Alberta. She has worked in a number of PCNs in multidisciplinary teams and is currently the Physician Consultant for the CWC PCN Primary Care Center. Her work at Glenwood Medical Center includes the full spectrum of family medicine with special interests in mental health and women’s health. She has also been a Physician for the Calgary Fire Department Wellness Center for 6 years, which provides care to Calgary firefighters. She is also a clinical preceptor at the University Of Calgary Cumming School Of Medicine. Dr. Wong is fluent in English and Cantonese.
Dr. Nasreen Sheik was born in South Africa and graduated with Dean’s commendation in Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2005 from the Nelson R. Mandela school of Medicine. After completing her practical training, she spent one year in a rural hospital in South Africa. This was followed by a year in obstetrics in Durban. She then moved to Ireland and worked in emergency medicine in Kilkenny.
She and her husband moved to Canada in 2010 and first worked in the small community of Edson, Alberta. During her time there, she served as a board member on the Edson PCN and was instrumental in developing the obstetrics program.
In 2013 she moved to Calgary. Though Dr. Sheik has had a wide array of experience, she particularly enjoys antenatal care, women’s health and preventative health care. She has 2 beautiful boys and enjoys baking and cooking.
Dr. Natalie Sin Yan Too received her medical degree from the University of Western Ontario. She then completed the Family Medicine residency program at the University of Toronto, where she was the recipient of the John Hilditch Award for research, and the Steven Kandal Award for patient-centred clinical excellence. She enjoys practicing the full range of family medicine and is an examiner for international graduate evaluations. She has been a part of the Glenwood Medical team since 2012. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family in the great outdoors of Alberta, and cheering on her kids in their various sports activities.
Dr. Sara Rizwan graduated from King Edward Medical University and completed her residency with the University of Calgary in Family Medicine. She has been a full time family physician at Glenwood Medical Centre since 2011. She is fluent in English, Urdu and Punjabi. Her special interest is in women’s health.
Dr. Yuen Mei Chu was born in Hong Kong and raised in Venezuela. She completed Internal Medicine training both in Venezuela and Canada. Her practice interest is General Internal Medicine with special interest in Cardiology. She is fluent in Cantonese, Spanish and English.

Dr. Asif renders generic primary health care, treating both chronic and acute disorders in patients, personalized counseling on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, often coordinating care provided by subspecialists. In addition to taking care of patients of all ages, Dr. Asif takes care of expectant mothers through prenatal, and post-partum care.
Dr. Asif has completed her residency training from University of Alberta, Edmonton, Family Medicine department with great excellence. She provides patient-centered comprehensive health care in areas of Family Medicine including both acute and chronic medical disorders. She has been practicing full scope Family Medicine for many years in this clinic including women's health/gynecological issues, men's health, prenatal/postnatal care, pediatrics, geriatrics, mental health care and adolescent medicine with health screening and preventative health care. She enjoys working with great team of clinic staff, registered nurse, dietitian and specialists.
To her practicing Family Medicine is all about involving patient into their own health making decisions by promoting health promotion and prevention. She has a firm belief that developing the strong patient-physician relationship plays pivotal role in fulfilling the health care needs of her patients.

Dr. Rakic came to Canada in 1993 from former Yugoslavia where her finished
residency in pediatrics. After immigrating to Canada, she started working at the Health Sciences Center in Calgary in stroke research, and later on got into residency in family medicine. For the past 15 years, she has been working as a family physician with a special interest in pediatrics and gynecology. Dr. Rakic performs prenatal care, IUD insertions, endometrial biopsies, minor surgeries. She can apply a cast if needed and treat Attention Deficit Disorder. She treats acne and can elegantly remove skin tags if needed (small fee applies for these services not covered by Alberta Health). As a practitioner of patient centered care, all of her patients are part of the health care team. Specializing in pediatrics and gynecology, Dr. Rakic also welcomes all other patients into her practice as well. In her free time, Dr. Rakic enjoys hiking in the Rocky Mountains and winter sports.

Graduated from Silesian Medical School in Poland. For 2 years, Dr. Sztukowski worked at Julia McFarlane Diabetes Research Centre at the U of C Calgary. In 1992, she completed the Family Medicine Program at the University of Calgary and subsequently became a fellow of Family Medicine. Dr. Sztukowski’s Family Medicine practice attends to all ages and patients’ health concerns.

Dr. Linda Wu is a registered acupunturist. She was a member of Conduct and Competency Committee for College and Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta (CAAA).
Dr. Wu was trained and practiced as a medical doctor in China, her strong background in Western medicine, and her extensive clinical training and practice, has allowed her to develop expertise in acute and chronic pain, anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, insomnia and infertility.
